Home After Christmas

I am getting back to daily life after our typically well traveled Christmas. For us it means all the weeks leading up to Christmas we try to squeeze as much work, friend time, local family events and spiritual balance into them as possible so that we can spend time our sons if they are available...they live out of town so we are the travelers.

We spent the week with our younger son and family arriving in time for the youngest granddaughters 5th birthday. The kiddos grow up so fast-we're so glad we are able to spend moments where we can.
The party was themed around teddy bears this birthday with lots of fun balloons, gifts and Lauren made yummy cupcakes too!

Presents piled high!

I pick this one first.

Here are a few of our shared moments...

The balloons lasted all the way through Christmas!
Part of the time the family shared the sickie bug...what a thing to share!

So far Tom & I have avoided it, we'll see.

Celebrations and Remembering During 2020's Covid-19 Epidemic

Just last week when the world was reflecting on the somber events of 911 another form of remembrance happens in our family.

My sister Colli was born on September 11 and we sisters living in Utah have our own event. Each year we gather for lunch at a restaurant of the birthday girls choosing. This year looked different. We met at Colli's home, ordered and picked up lunch and celebrated a milestone, Colli's 60th Birthday! I wanted to say Hurrah!  so I have been looking for something fun and perfectly descriptive of my sister, she is BOLD, she is COLORFUL and definately looks GOOD so here is my creation. I made it with my Cricut and it is only my 2nd HTV project...I was excited that it is so representational of Colli... 😄

St. Patrick’s and Happy Birthday too

Happy St. Patricks Day, May you enjoy all the fun and celebration, I wish you the luck of he Irish and  blessings too. Today is my birthday, yes I’m a St. Patrick’s Day kid! As long as I can remember my birthday has been loads of fun,ok so most folks were celebrating their own holiday, what do kids know!
I woke up to about a million texts on Facebook wishing me a Happy Birthday, what a fabulous day and what a blast. Thank You to everyone for your kind wishes and in sharing my birthday, you’ve made it so special!
I am still wearing my fashionable black cast due to a sledding accident I had on a beautiful snowy day in late February. Yesterday I had a fabulous report from my doctor…just two weeks until I get a walking cast, just in time for my trip to Phoenix. Our son Nathan and wife Lauren are expecting their new little one and we love being  able to be there for this momentus occassion and are thankful for our business freedoms, what an amazing industry we work in.. Also we have two beautiful grandaughters celebrating birthdays. Yes, TWO parties. Both granddaughters are having birthday parties on the same day.
Have a great day and take a few moments to reflect on how lucky and blessed you are Oh and enjoy this Tradional Irish Blessing I Know I did.  I've added it below my posting. ENJOY!

My Birthday

Today is my birthday...yup, St. Patricks Day is my birthday. I have been so blessed to enjoy phone calls and Facebook posts and birthday cards from all my wonderful friends and family...Thank you all, it means the world to me! Did I celebrate in a traditional way drinking some "green" concoction, wearing fun and crazy clothes, partying at the pub or such stuff I'm sure you're wondering?? Naaaaw! I am so excited because I received a new computer for my birthday. Want to see what I picked?? We spent the day setting it up, transfering all my data and watching that blue bar predict haw l0---ng it would be before my data was safe and sound in it's new home!!Eeek...! So-ooo most of the work is done, wish me the "Luck of the Irish" on the rest!
