ATC Fun

I mentioned in a previous post about a current ATC Flower Series swap that I was creating...Well here it is! My Floral ATC was such fun to create. I hope my swap partner likes it as much as I do! So here's a sneek peek...

I hope my swap partner doesn't stop by the blog before getting it in the mail...that would kinda ruin the surprise don't you think?

ATC Those Adorable Collectable Cards

Recently I signed up for a swap on my new favorite swap site, SWAP-BOT.COM. The theme is Hibiscus~ I love, love, love them! They are such a showy floral! I can't wait to see what my partners come up with!
I've been looking at all sorts of possible ideas for my ATC from realistic to stained glass look as I planned my own project and finally our swap date is here soooooo mine will be off on the mail very soon but as things often happen, I was out of town an extra couple of days beyond my plan and it has delayed my mailing. My Swap partner learned I was in her state and quipped "You should have hand-carried it!" That would have been fun :)
I look forward to editing this post to add the pictures of my creation but for now here's a picture of my Iris that are in bloom.

ATC's With A Parisian Flair

Today I'm working on getting my Swap-bot swaps finished before we head off to Phoenix. The swaps I find myself gravitating towards are involving miniature canvases of sorts... The ATC, Tag, and other small surfaces are such an interesting challenge. Today I finished my Vintage ATC w/Eiffel Tower. It is a subject I adore! I am planning to visit France again and remember with fondness all of the amazing history, food and beautiful art contained in that city...I can't wait to revisit it!
For today I'll have to be satisfied with the memories of sampling Escargot at a delightful French Cafe as we enjoyed our view of the Eiffel Tower <sigh>.

My swap partners card arrived and I wanted to post her lovely ATC as well but I would be remiss if I didn't share her envelope too!

Tag Inspirations

My scraproom finally has room to move about... It took several days of sorting, putting away and finally a 3/4 turn of my crafting table and I've been stirred to create.I guess you could say creativity has been adequately "mused".
I've been hanging out at Swap-bot searching for some swaps to challenge my self and of recent, tags skinnies, inchies, and ATC's have been on my mind.
My recent addiction has been incorporating my rubber stamping, collage and all sorts of ephemera into these tiny canvases. I have been on a kick with all things French and recently have added several Eiffel Tower stamps to my collection so it was calling me to use it for the May Gift Tag: May Flowers Swap. I've got another upcoming swap to use these new stamps in too so I'm off to work on some more projects ;)

Living in community

I love coming across those gems that remind you what life is all about. Last week our pastor was talking about people living in community and what that really looked like. I came across a wonderful quote that really defined it in a nutshell so I wanted to share it with you, my 'online community" too.
